The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the results for the Class 10th and 12th board exams 2023 by mid-May. While the evaluation of answer sheets for Class 10th ended in mid-April, the same for Class 12th concluded in the last week of April. Students who appeared for these exams will be able to check and download their results from the official websites, namely cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in, as soon as the results are declared.
Although the Board has not yet officially announced a date or time for the release of the results, it is likely to release the results for both classes on the same day, with a few hours of difference. In the meantime, students can follow the step-by-step process provided on the official websites to download their results online. The CBSE will also offer the convenience of checking the results via SMS, wherein students can send an SMS to the board's designated number to receive their results.
To pass the board examinations, students must obtain at least 33 percent marks in each subject, along with satisfactory scores on their internal and external written assignments. A student can only earn a passing certification if they receive an E grade or better in each topic included in a written test, unless they are exempted. In case a student fails in either the internal or external exam, the results of the external tests will be withheld for a year, and they will have to take a separate test for that particular subject.
In February to April 2023, the CBSE board exams for Classes 10th and 12th were conducted, with approximately 21,86,940 learners taking the CBSE Board 10th exams, while 16,96,770 students registered for the 12th Board exams. The CBSE Board will release the results sooner than last year when they were declared in July. The result, made public online, will include the applicant’s name, marks received, percentage, and qualifying status.
As soon as the results are declared, students can access them on the website portal by entering their School Code, Roll Number, and Security Code. In case of any difficulty, they can also use alternate methods such as SMS or Digilocker to check their results. Passing these exams will enable students to pursue degree or diploma courses, or other courses for higher studies.

- Enter your roll number, enrollment number, and birthdate should be entered in the spaces given.
- Then click submit.
- Your 2023 CBSE Board Result will appear on the screen.
- Download a copy, then save a hard copy for later use.
