Incessant rainfall in Himachal Pradesh has crippled the normal life. While an incident of cloudburst was reported in Dharamshala, triggering a flood-like situation, the national highway near Jhakri in Rampur area of Shimla district was blocked following heavy rainfall.

A popular tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala is currently packed with tourists from the plains of North India. Videos of mud flooding into the streets of Dharmshala has surfaced online. A report says that around 3000mm of rainfall has been recorded in and around Dharamshala. Cars were seen flowing like a pack of cards after flash floods gushed into the main town.

Heavy and continuous rainfall has wreaked havoc in Himachal Pradesh's Dharamshala on Monday. A cloudburst has occurred in the Kangra district of the state on Monday morning. It has caused severe damages to the public properties in Bhagsu village.

As per the viral videos, the cloudburst has occurred over Dharamshala which has triggered flash floods in the area. The cloudburst has blocked the national highway near Jhakri in Rampur area of Shimla district. There is no report of loss of lives.

The state has been receiving heavy rainfall for the last few days. The cloudburst incident in Dharamshala triggered flash floods and caused damages to the public properties. 

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that Himachal Pradesh will experience moderate to heavy rains inthe coming days. The MeT department has issued an orange weather warning of heavy to very heavy rains in plains and mid-hills on July 12 and 13 July and yellow weather warning for July 14 and 15.
